EndToEndWebHttpSecurityMode Enumeration

Specifies the types of security that can be used with the WebHttpRelayBinding.

Namespace:  Microsoft.ServiceBus
Assembly:  Microsoft.ServiceBus (in Microsoft.ServiceBus.dll)

public enum EndToEndWebHttpSecurityMode

Member nameDescription
NoneIndicates that no security is used with HTTP requests.
TransportIndicates that transport-level security is required; clients must use HTTPS to communicate with the service endpoint.

Windows Azure Service Bus supports only Full Trust code access security.

EndToEndWebHttpSecurityMode is used in the WebHttpRelayBinding constructors to set the security mode. As such, it is usually used at the beginning of an application, before the binding is used to connect to the Windows Azure Service Bus. Functionally, EndToEndWebHttpSecurityMode is very similar to EndToEndSecurityMode, and serves a similar role. The main difference is that the WebHttpRelayBinding has slightly different possible security settings, and so requires different options.

For more information on security issues, see the Security and Protection section, as well as Securing and Authenticating an AppFabric Service Bus Connection. For more information on initializing a binding for a service application or client application, see Building a Service for the AppFabric Service Bus and Building an AppFabric Service Bus Client Application.
