Connecting agents directly to Operational Insights

Servers can communicate directly with the Microsoft Azure Operational Insights service, without relying solely on an Operations Manager management group for communication. However, if you use Operations Manager, you can optionally connect the Microsoft Monitoring agent to Operational Insights through it.
