Azure SQL Database Cmdlets

You can use Azure SQL Database cmdlets to manage your Azure SQL Databases, servers, and firewall rules.

Managing Azure SQL Databases

 

Name Description

New-AzureSqlDatabase

Creates a new SQL Database.

Get-AzureSqlDatabase

Gets information about a SQL Database from the specified SQL Server.

Get-AzureSqlDatabaseCopy

Checks the status of one or more copy relationships that are active on a specified SQL Server.

Get-AzureSqlRecoverableDatabase

Gets a list of SQL Databases that can be recovered.

Set-AzureSqlDatabase

Sets properties for the specified SQL Database.

Remove-AzureSqlDatabase

Deletes the specified SQL Database.

New-AzureSqlDatabaseServerContext

Creates a new connection context to the specified SQL Server Management Service.

Get-AzureSqlDatabaseServiceObjective

Returns a service objective for the specified SQL Database Server.

Get-AzureSqlDatabaseOperation

Returns the status of database operations on the specified SQL Database Server.

Start-AzureSqlDatabaseCopy

Creates a one-time copy or a continuous copy of a specified SQL Database.

Stop-AzureSqlDatabaseCopy

Terminates a continuous copy relationship.

Start-AzureSqlDatabaseRecovery

Submits a recover database request for a live or dropped SQL Database.

Start-AzureSqlDatabaseRestore

Submits a point-in-time restore request for a live or dropped SQL Database.

Start-AzureSqlDatabaseExport

Initiates an export operation from a SQL Database to Azure blob storage.

Start-AzureSqlDatabaseImport

Initiates an import operation from Azure blob storage to a SQL Database.

Get-AzureSqlDatabaseImportExportStatus

Returns the status of an import or export operation between Azure blob storage and a SQL Database.

Managing Azure SQL Database Servers

 

Name Description

New-AzureSqlDatabaseServer

Creates a new SQL Database Server in the current subscription.

Get-AzureSqlDatabaseServer

Gets information about SQL Database Servers in the current subscription.

Set-AzureSqlDatabaseServer

Updates the properties of a SQL Database Server in the current subscription.

Remove-AzureSqlDatabaseServer

Deletes a SQL Database Server from the current subscription.

Get-AzureSqlDatabaseServerQuota

Returns the quota information for a specified SQL Database Server.

Managing Azure SQL Database Server Firewall Rules

New-AzureSqlDatabaseServerFirewallRule

Creates a new SQL Database firewall rule in a SQL Database Server.

Get-AzureSqlDatabaseServerFirewallRule

Gets information about SQL Database firewall rules in a SQL Database Server.

Set-AzureSqlDatabaseServerFirewallRule

Updates the properties of a SQL Database firewall rule in a SQL Database Server.

Remove-AzureSqlDatabaseServerFirewallRule

Deletes a SQL Database firewall rule from a SQL Database Server.
