FrontPage Server Extensions are not essential to host FrontPage Web sites, but they do extend FrontPage Web sites with functionality such as multiuser and remote authoring support, search, forms processing, and usage analysis. Some features in Microsoft FrontPage 2002 require that the FrontPage Server Extensions 2002 are installed on the server to which a Web site is published.
