1. First install Visual Studio 2010 from your MSDN subscription or use this trial version and install Team Foundation Server 2010 Trial. If you want, you can test everything by downloading “Microsoft® Visual Studio® 2010 and Team Foundation Server® 2010 RTM virtual machine for Windows Virtual PC”. With the release of Service Pack 1 in March, don’t forget to apply SP1 for Visual Studio 2010 and TFS 2010. Lastly, if you have mixed teams with .Net and Java developers you’ll be interested in trying out Visual Studio Team Explorer Everywhere 2010.

2. Watch the video “Dive into Application Lifecycle Management with Visual Studio 2010, a recording from TechDays 2011 that gives you a complete overview of the platform in a little over an hour.

   

3. Read white paper “ALM Tool Evolution”, written by David Chappell and commissioned by Microsoft.
