Set up Your Computer

Before you start installing Servicio de adaptador de BizTalk, you must understand that there are two different components available with Servicio de adaptador de BizTalk – Developer SDK and Runtime and Tools. You have the option of installing each of these components on separate computers. For a detailed discussion on the topology for installing Servicio de adaptador de BizTalk, see the section “Installing Servicio de adaptador de BizTalk” at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=241589.

For the sake of simplicity, in this tutorial, we assume that both the components are installed on the same computer.

What to Install?

This topic provides you with instruction and pointers to set up your computer on which you will perform the steps to enable the hybrid integration scenario described in Using Service Bus EAI and EDI Labs to Integrate with an On-Premises SAP Server. You must do the following to set up your computer:

  • Install Servicio de adaptador de BizTalk available as part of Servicios de BizTalk. You can download the installer from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=235057. Refer to the Servicios de BizTalk installation guide at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=237092 to install the software prerequisites for Servicios de BizTalk SDK and Servicio de adaptador de BizTalk. Installing Servicio de adaptador de BizTalk installs the following on your computer:

    • Servicio de adaptador de BizTalk . You use this to expose the Send operation on an IDOC as a relay endpoint on Service Bus.

    • Servicios de BizTalk SDK. You use this to configure and deploy the bridge that sits between the EDI agreement and the relay endpoint. Installing the SDK also installs the EDI Project (artifacts) Visual Studio template that you will use to create a Transformación for mapping the X12 message to the schema for Send operation on ORDERS05 IDOC.

    • WCF LOB Adapter SDK. This is required for installing the Adapter Pack on the computer.

    • Adapter Pack. This contains an SAP adapter that is required to establish connectivity to an SAP Server and for exposing SAP artifacts as operations.

  • Install the SAP client libraries. The SAP adapter needs these libraries to connect to an SAP Server. For information on where to install the SAP client libraries from, refer to the Adapter Pack installation guide (InstallationGuide.htm) at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=240161.

  • Download and extract the EDI message templates (MicrosoftEdiXSDTemplates.zip) available at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=235057. This contains the X12 850 Purchase Order message schema that is required for the business scenario we use for this article.

After you have finished installing these components, you are ready to start setting up the business scenario.
