Add an Instance of Team Foundation Server
If the instance of Team Foundation Server to which you want to connect is not available in the list of servers, you must add a connection to that instance.
Note
This procedure assumes that you have opened the Add/Remove Team Foundation Server dialog box to create a connection to an instance of Team Foundation Server.
To add a connection to an instance of Team Foundation Server
In the Add/Remove Team Foundation Server dialog box, click Add.
The Add New Server dialog box appears.
Provide connection details by performing one of the following tasks:
On the Login Details tab, type the name or URL of the server to which you want to connect.
On the Advanced tab, specify the server, path, port number, and protocol that you want to use to connect to the server.
(Optional) Specify a name for the connection.
Click Test Connection to verify that the connection information that you provided is correct.
If you cannot connect, review the connection information or contact your administrator for Team Foundation.
Click OK to add the connection.
In the Team Foundation Server list, highlight the server to which you want to connect, and then click Close.
