Mapping UNIX Users to Windows Users

Services for Network File System (NFS) supports:

• Windows Services for UNIX 3.5 User Name Mapping service
  
  
• Direct lookup of UNIX UID/GID pairs for Windows users (through Active Directory Domain Services)
  
  

Note that this is the final release that will include the User Name Mapping service as part of Services for NFS. Customers should migrate to support direct lookup of UNIX identities in Active Directory Domain Services.
