Introduction
The Windows Vista Logo Program is a way for your company to help customers identify compatible products that are designed for ease of use, better performance, and enhanced security.
Customers will see two logos in more than twenty product categories. The "Certified for Windows Vista" logo identifies products that are designed and tested to deliver a superior experience with Windows Vista. The "Works with Windows Vista" logo lets customers know which software and devices offer baseline compatibility with Windows Vista.
The goals of the Windows Vista Logo Program are to:
Communicate to customers that Certified for Windows Vista products provide superior experiences with their software, photos, music, videos, and online communications.
Help customers easily identify software and devices that have been tested for compatibility with Windows Vista.
Enable your company to differentiate your unique offerings while giving customers confidence in the products they choose.
As a participant in the Windows Vista Logo Program, your company can use logo artwork, messaging guidelines, and marketing campaign assets in association with products that have met the program requirements. Using these assets helps you to extend your marketing by taking advantage of Microsoft's continued investment in promoting Certified for Windows Vista products to consumers, businesses, and retail channel partners.
To help drive purchase preference for Certified for Windows Vista products, Microsoft will generate awareness through Web advertising and retail point-of- sale (POS) materials. Customers will learn about the features and benefits of Certified for Windows Vista products from trained retail sales professionals, on company Web sites, on the Windows Vista Compatibility Center, and through promotional campaigns.
