Windows 8 Hands-on Labs Online Training Events

We are offering Windows 8 Hands-on Labs Online (HOLOs) from Feb - June 2013, and all of these training sessions help developers with various aspects of learning how to use existing skills to build Windows 8 applications. Windows 8 Dev Camps

Windows 8 Dev Camps are free, fun, no-fluff events for developers, by developers. You will learn from experts in a casual, interactive way and then get hands-on time to apply what you’ve learned. Camps are all day events with lunch included. Just bring your laptop loaded with Windows 8, Visual Studio Express 2012, and other tools available on the Downloads page. Developer Workshops in Microsoft Retail Stores

The Windows 8 Developer Workshops are designed to help you develop apps and games for Windows 8. Just bring your existing iOS, Android, XNA or HTML5 code and a healthy dose of creativity. We'll provide the support you need to finish your first-to-market Windows 8 app. Best of all, you'll use your existing development skills to create money-making apps that run on Windows 8 and other popular mobile platforms. Windows Store App Labs are physical locations where you can test your app on Windows 8 devices with the help of Windows 8 development experts. All for free!

  • Check out and test on the newest Windows 8 devices: Test your app on a variety of screen sizes, input methods, and chipsets with the latest Windows 8 devices including Windows RT tablets, Ultrabooks, All-in-Ones, and more.
  • Get technical guidance from Windows 8 experts: Our Windows experts are on hand to help test your app and offer any technical advice you need. We can help you with coding tips, debugging, and prepping your app to submit to the Windows Store.
