Team Foundation Server Migration Tool for Rational® ClearCase®

The Team Foundation Server Migration Tool for Rational® ClearCase® is a tool to help automate the migration process from Rational® ClearCase® to Team Foundation Server. This tool is available as a free download for Team Foundation Server users.

TFS Migration and Synchronization Toolkit

The TFS Migration and Synchronization Toolkit helps you build custom tools that enable migration and synchronization with other version control and work-item tracking systems. This toolkit is currently available as a shared source project on CodePlex.

The toolkit currently ships with two reference implementations that can be used as models for building custom migration tools. These samples are also fully functional tools that can be used to synchronize SharePoint document libraries and lists with Team Foundation Server version control and work items respectively.

VSSConverter

The VSSConverter command-line utility is used to analyze Visual SourceSafe databases for migration to Team Foundation source control, and to migrate Visual SourceSafe databases to Team Foundation source control.

The VSSConverter.exe is located in <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE and is also available through the Visual Studio 2005 Command Prompt. You can install it by installing Team Explorer.

CQConverter

The CQConverter command-line utility is used to analyze and migrate ClearQuest databases to Team Foundation Server work item tracking.

The CQConverter.exe is located in <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE and is also available through the Visual Studio 2005 Command Prompt. You can install it by installing Team Explorer.
