ToolStripItem..::.VisibleChanged Event

Occurs when the value of the Visible property changes.

Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
Syntax
Public Event VisibleChanged As EventHandler
public event EventHandler VisibleChanged
public:
 event EventHandler^ VisibleChanged {
	void add (EventHandler^ value);
	void remove (EventHandler^ value);
}
member VisibleChanged : IEvent<EventHandler,
    EventArgs>
Remarks

For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.

NoteNote

Changing the Enabled property of a ToolStrip does not raise the VisibleChanged event. Raise this event with specific property settings.

Examples

The following code example demonstrates the use of this member. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the VisibleChanged event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing MessageBox..::.Show with Console..::.WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a project that contains an instance of a type that inherits from ToolStripItem, such as a ToolStripButton or ToolStripMenuItem. Then name the instance ToolStripItem1 and ensure that the event handler is associated with the VisibleChanged event.

Private Sub ToolStripItem1_VisibleChanged(sender as Object, e as EventArgs) _
     Handles ToolStripItem1.VisibleChanged

   MessageBox.Show("You are in the ToolStripItem.VisibleChanged event.")

End Sub

private void ToolStripItem1_VisibleChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e) {

   MessageBox.Show("You are in the ToolStripItem.VisibleChanged event.");

}
