ToolStrip..::.OnItemRemoved Method

Raises the ItemRemoved event.

Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
Syntax
Protected Friend Overridable Sub OnItemRemoved ( _
	e As ToolStripItemEventArgs _
)
protected internal virtual void OnItemRemoved(
	ToolStripItemEventArgs e
)
protected public:
virtual void OnItemRemoved(
	ToolStripItemEventArgs^ e
)
abstract OnItemRemoved :
        e:ToolStripItemEventArgs -> unit
override OnItemRemoved :
        e:ToolStripItemEventArgs -> unit

Parameters

e
Type: System.Windows.Forms..::.ToolStripItemEventArgs
A ToolStripItemEventArgs that contains the event data.
Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnItemRemoved method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnItemRemoved in a derived class, be sure to call the base class’s OnItemRemoved method so that registered delegates receive the event.
