Windows Performance Analysis Toolkit (WPT) for Windows Developer Preview
The new Windows Performance Analysis Toolkit (WPT), included with the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK), makes performance issues easier to diagnose. The toolkit includes the following:
- Windows Performance Recorder (WPR) extends Event Tracing for Windows (ETW) by capturing detailed system and application behavior and resource usage either from the command line or a new graphical user interface. The previous command-line tool, Xperf, is still distributed with the toolkit for compatibility with existing scripts. For more information, see

- Windows Performance Analyzer (WPA) is a powerful tool used to review aspects of performance on Windows. WPA opens event trace log files and displays performance data in graphs and tables so that you can easily see where to investigate potential issues. For more information, see
