UDP sockets provide a lightweight, connectionless communications solution that naturally fits the loosely connected model of mobile applications; unfortunately the default Windows Mobile Device Emulator configuration does not support UDP sockets. In this video Jim Wilson walks you through creating a simple Windows Mobile UDP application and demonstrates how to enable Windows Mobile Device Emulator UDP support; developers already familiar with UDP programming may wish to focus on the later half the video where Jim covers the emulator configuration details.
