Timer Control Changes in Visual Basic .NET

The Timer control in Visual Basic 6.0 is replaced by the Windows Forms Timer component in Visual Basic .NET. The Timer component is placed in the tray instead of on the form at design time, and the behavior of the Interval property has changed.
