[This documentation is for preview only, and is subject to change in later releases. Blank topics are included as placeholders.]

Returns a String containing the name of the Component, if any. This method should not be overridden.

Namespace:  System.ComponentModel
Assembly:  System (in System.dll)

public override string ToString()

Return Value

A String containing the name of the Component, if any, or null if the Component is unnamed.

A Component may or may not have a name. If a Component is given a name, the name is unique among other Component objects within its IContainer.
