What's New in Visual Database Tools

You can use Visual Database Tools to help create databases, maintain databases, and design the data manipulation portions of your database applications in Visual Studio.

By using Visual Studio 2008 with Service Pack 1, you can create and maintain SQL Server 2008 databases in the same way as you create and maintain other SQL Server databases. In addition, you can create and maintain spatial indexes, which are new in SQL Server 2008. For more information, see How to: Create Spatial Indexes.
