Data Shortcut Keys, General Development Settings

The following shortcut key combinations can be used work with data in the integrated development environment.

Data.Column

CTRL + L

Adds a new column to the bottom of the data set. Available only in the DataSet Editor.

Data.Execute

CTRL + ALT + F5

Runs the currently active database object.

Data.InsertColumn

INSERT

Inserts a new column above the selected column in the data set. Available only in the DataSet Editor.

Data.RunSelection

CTRL + Q

Runs the current selection in the SQL editor.

Data.ShowDataSources

SHIFT + ALT + D

Displays the Data Sources window.

Data.StepInto

ALT + F5

Steps into debug mode for the currently active database object.

QueryDesigner.CancelRetrievingData

CTRL + T

Cancels or stops the currently running query. Available only in the Query Designer and View Designer.

QueryDesigner.Criteria

CTRL + 2

Displays the Criteria pane of the Query and View designer. Available only in the Query and View designer.

QueryDesigner.Diagram

CTRL + 1

Displays the Diagram pane of the Query and View designer. Available only in the Query and View designer.

QueryDesigner.ExecuteSQL

CTRL + R

Executes the query. Available only in the Query and View Designer.

QueryDesigner.GoToRow

CTRL + G

When in the Results pane, moves focus to the tool strip docked at the bottom of the designer. Available only in the Query and View Designer.

QueryDesigner.JoinMode

CTRL + SHIFT + J

Enables JOIN mode. Available only in the Query and View Designer.

QueryDesigner.Results

CTRL + 4

Displays the Results pane of the Query and View designer. Available only in the Query and View designer.

QueryDesigner.SQL

CTRL + 3

Displays the SQL pane of the Query and View designer. Available only in the Query and View designer.

View.Datasets

CTRL + ALT + D

Displays the Report Datasets window of the Report Designer.
