Multiplication Assignment Operator (*=) (JavaScript)

Multiplies the value of a variable by the value of an expression and assigns the result to the variable.

result *= expression
result

Any variable.

expression

Any expression.

Using the *= operator is exactly the same as specifying:

result = result * expression
