The C run-time libraries support Windows XP with SP2, Windows XP with SP3, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, and Windows 7. All these operating systems support the Windows Application Programming Interface (API) and provide full Unicode support. In addition, any Win32 application can use a multibyte character set (MBCS).
