Here are some resources to help you shape your app and in-app product submissions in the Windows Phone Dev Center.
Looking for ideas about how to make your app marketable in the Windows Phone Store? To learn more about the benefits of free trials, making your app look good for the Store, and other effective tips, see Market appeal.
Dev Center lets you change the price of your app at any time before, during, or after certification. To learn more, see Define pricing and market selection.
If you’d like to submit in-app ads in Dev Center, you’ll need to enable your account by linking your Microsoft Advertising pubCenter account with your Dev Center account. If you don’t have a pubCenter account, you can register for one on Dev Center. For more info, see Add in-app advertising.
Note: You can only add in-app products to Windows Phone 8 apps.
To use this feature, you’ll need to set up your payment account and provide your tax info. Much like submitting an app, getting your In-App Product into Dev Center is a two-step process. Follow these easy steps and you'll have the ability to sell in-app products through your app!
Make sure beta testers have Microsoft accounts
Planning to send out a beta version of your app before you publish it to the Store? Your testers will need Microsoft accounts, which they can create at Microsoft account setup. You’ll be asked to provide the account email addresses when you submit your app, so be sure to have them ready to go.
To learn more about betas, see Beta testing your app and in-app products.
Getting a game rating certificate
In most countries or regions, game rating certificates are voluntary. But if you’re publishing a game in South Korea or Brazil, you’ll need a game rating certificate. For more info, see Game ratings.
Getting a push notification certificate
Will you be sending out authenticated push notifications to users of your app? If so, you’ll need to provide a Microsoft Push Notification certificate. For more info, see Push notifications for Windows Phone.
