Configure the Compute Emulator to use Full IIS in Visual Studio

Starting with Windows Azure SDK for .NET – June 2012 IIS Express is the default web server used when running web roles in the compute emulator. If your application requires full IIS you can configure your Visual Studio solution to use full IIS using the procedure below.

  1. Open the Windows Azure project in Visual Studio.

  2. In the Solution Explorer expand solution.

  3. Right click your project and click Properties.

  4. On the project properties screen click Web.

  5. Click Use IIS Web Server.
