Device Install Check For File System Consistency (Certification)

This automated test verifies that no system resources have been overwritten during the process of a device/driver package install.

This test does the following:

  1. Runs System File Checker (SFC.exe) with /SCANNOW switch.

  2. Runs Reinstall with IO test.

  3. Runs System File Checker (SFC.exe) with /VERIFYONLY switch

  4. Reports any corrupted system files from #3 as test failures.

Required ONLY if DUT or one of its child devices is a wired NIC that doesn't have an IPv6 gateway address. If determined to be required, provide an IPv6 address that the test NIC can ping to test network I/O (for example, fe80::78b6:810:9c12:46cd).
