|Registration||Registration for Plugfest 26 is now closed since we have reached our maximum participation level. If you have any questions about registration for this event, please reach us at email@example.com.|
**Important note about hardware provided** Just like Filter Plugfest 25, at Filter Plugfest 26 each product group will be provided with only one physical machine. This machine will act as both the debugger and the target. The target will exist as a guest Virtual Machine (VM) hosted on Hyper-V. The target machine is where your filter driver is expected to be installed. It will also contain all necessary test tools. If you have any concerns about your filter driver working in a VM, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Benefits of the Filter Plugfest to participants include:
- The opportunity to test their products extensively for interoperability with other vendors' products and with Microsoft products. This has traditionally been a great way to understand interoperability scenarios and flush out any interoperability-related bugs.
- Talks and information sessions organized by the Storage and File Systems team as well as Networking team about topics that affect the filter driver community.
- Opportunity to meet with file systems and networking developers at Microsoft and get answers to questions about file systems and filter drivers.
Note: The Microsoft Storage and File Systems team is pleased to see the steady rise in attendance at Plugfests. The increase in the number of interoperability scenarios tested enhances the value of the Plugfest for participants. Due to constraints of space and resources, however, we request that teams attending Plugfests be limited to two persons per product to be tested for interoperability issues. Additionally if an ISV has a network filter driver in addition to file system filter driver, the ISV will be given only one station for testing both type of drivers.
If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the Filter Plugfest, comments are always welcome and should be sent to email@example.com.
