Kernel-Mode Interfaces Implemented By the DirectX Graphics Kernel Subsystem

This section describes the kernel-mode interfaces that the Windows operating system implements through the Microsoft DirectX graphics kernel subsystem.

Dxgkrnl Interface

Describes functions that are implemented by the Microsoft DirectX graphics kernel subsystem (Dxgkrnl.sys) and called by the display miniport driver.

Video Present Network (VidPN) Manager Interfaces

Describes functions that are implemented by the video present network (VidPN) manager and called by the display miniport driver.

AGP Interface

Describes Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) functions that are implemented by the operating system and called by the display miniport driver.

Timed Operation Interface

Describes timed operation functions that are implemented by the display port driver and called by the display miniport driver.

Debug Report Interface

Describes debug report functions that are implemented by the display port driver and called by the display miniport driver.

Simple Peripheral Bus (SPB) Interface

Describe functions to access bus resources on a system-on-a-chip (SoC) system.

Direct3D Shader Codes

Describes the format of an individual shader code and the tokens that comprise each shader code.

System Firmware Table Interface

Describes functions that let the display miniport driver enumerate and read the system firmware table.
