Windows Logo Kit (WLK) for Hardware Download

This topic applies to the following versions of Windows:
The Windows 7 family of operating systems (x86, x64, and Itanium)
The Windows Server 2008 family of operating systems (x86, x64, and Itanium)
The Windows Vista family of operating systems (x86, x64, and Itanium)
The Windows XP family of operating systems (including service packs and 64-bit editions)
The Windows 2000 family of operating systems (including service packs)
Use this Windows Logo Kit (WLK): Use WLK 1.6 for Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, and all earlier operating systems. For more information, see the Windows Logo Kit overview page.
To join the WLK connection on Microsoft Connect and download the WLK
Go to the Microsoft Connect Web site and follow these steps:

Sign in to the Web site using a Windows Live ID or Microsoft Passport account.
Note: If you do not have a Windows Live ID or Microsoft Passport account, click Register for Connect today! at the top of the page. In Need a Windows Live ID?, click Sign Up Now. Follow the steps to create your credentials.

After signing in, click Directory in the top right of the screen.

In the list of categories, click View Connect products currently not accepting feedback. Then in the list of available connections, find Windows Logo Kit.

Under Windows Logo Kit, click Join to join the connection. If you do not see Join, you have already joined the connection.

On the left side of the page, click Downloads. Information about and links to all WLK downloads will appear.
To download the current WLK if you have already joined the WLK connection
Go to the Microsoft Connect Web site and follow these steps:
- On the main menu near the top of the page, click YOUR DASHBOARD.
- Sign in to Microsoft Connect.
- In Displaying products with items:, select All items regardless of updates.
- Click Windows Logo Kit.
- On the left side of the page, click Downloads. Information about and links to all WLK downloads will appear.
