Enabling a rich multimedia experience over the home network is a major untapped market opportunity. Microsoft supports the networked home multimedia experience today through Networked Audio Visual Device Support in Microsoft Windows (codename “Fjord” and “Iceberg”). Fjord is Microsoft's AV solution for UPnP technology that promotes a zero-configuration multimedia experience in the home.
