WinColorKit: Windows Color Quality Test Kit for Device OEMs

The Windows Color Quality Test Kit (WinColorKit) provides reference files, tools, and instructions for quantitatively measuring the ability of color-capable devices to render sRGB color within certain color difference tolerances. This is accomplished by using either an implicit sRGB color space profile or the ICM profile supplied with the operating system. This web site also includes images that manufacturers can use to visually evaluate color quality for their devices.

WinColor Overview and sRGB Reference Image
 WinColorCommon.exe 1.28 MB self-extracting zip package containing Windows Color Quality Specifications Overview providing background information and the sRGB Reference Image common to all WinColor specifications. (File date: February 15, 2001)

CRTs
 WinColorCRTs.exe 1.01 MB self-extracting zip package containing Windows Color Quality Specifications for Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) OEMs and required test documents. This specification and spreadsheet were developed in collaboration with Sony Corporation. (File date: February 15, 2001)

Front Projectors
 WinColorFrontProjectors.exe 1.13 MB self-extracting zip package containing Windows Color Quality Specifications for Front Projectors OEMs and required test documents. This Front Projector Delta E spreadsheet calculator is based on contributions from Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. This specification and spreadsheet were developed in collaboration with Seiko Epson Corporation and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. (File date: April 24, 2006)

LCDs
 WinColorLCDs.exe 1.11 MB self-extracting zip package containing Windows Color Quality Specifications for Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) OEMs and required test documents. This LCD Delta E spreadsheet calculator is based on contributions from EIZO NANAO CORPORATION. This specification and spreadsheet were developed in collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and NEC-Mitsubishi Electric Visual Systems. (File date: July 12, 2006)

Printers
