CalcPrivateGeometryShaderWithStreamOutput(D3D11) routine

The CalcPrivateGeometryShaderWithStreamOutput(D3D11) function determines the size of the user-mode display driver's private region of memory (that is, the size of internal driver structures, not the size of the resource video memory) for a geometry shader with stream output.

Parameters

hDevice [in]

A handle to the display device (graphics context).

pCreateGeometryShaderWithStreamOutput [in]

A pointer to a D3D11DDIARG_CREATEGEOMETRYSHADERWITHSTREAMOUTPUT structure that describes the parameters that the user-mode display driver uses to calculate the size of the memory region.

pSignatures [in]

A pointer to a D3D10DDIARG_STAGE_IO_SIGNATURES structure that forms the shader's signature.

Return value

CalcPrivateGeometryShaderWithStreamOutput(D3D11) returns the size of the memory region that the driver requires to create a geometry shader with stream output.

Version

CalcPrivateGeometryShaderWithStreamOutput(D3D11) is supported beginning with the Windows 7 operating system.
