Other system power management behaviors

Windows power management has other changed behaviors in a connected standby system, compared to a system that supports the ACPI Sleep (S3) and Hibernate (S4) power states.

In a connected standby system, the battery flyout from the desktop battery tray icon does not display the estimated battery time remaining. The time remaining is not displayed because it is inaccurate on most systems immediately after they exit the connected standby power state. However, you can obtain an accurate history of system battery utilization from the Battery report that is generated when you run the following command in a Command Prompt window:

powercfg.exe /batteryreport
