TextTrimming enumeration

Applies to Windows and Windows Phone

Describes how text is trimmed when it overflows the edge of its containing box.

The TextTrimming enumeration has these members.

Text is not trimmed.

CharacterEllipsis1

Introduced in Windows 8.1. Text is trimmed at a character boundary. An ellipsis (...) is drawn in place of remaining text.

WordEllipsis2

Text is trimmed at a word boundary. An ellipsis (...) is drawn in place of remaining text.

Clip3

Introduced in Windows 8.1. Text is trimmed at a pixel level, visually clipping the excess glyphs.
