UnicodeCharacters.IsLowSurrogate | isLowSurrogate method

Applies to Windows and Windows Phone

Determines if a specified Unicode character is a low surrogate.

Syntax


var boolean = Windows.Data.Text.UnicodeCharacters.isLowSurrogate(codepoint);

Parameters

codepoint

Type: Number [JavaScript] | System.UInt32 [.NET] | uint32 [C++]

A Unicode character. This must be in the proper range: 0 <= codepoint <= 0x10FFFF.

Return value

Type: Boolean [JavaScript] | System.Boolean [.NET] | Platform::Boolean [C++]

TRUE if codepoint is a low surrogate; otherwise FALSE.

Remarks

This method throws an invalid argument exception if the input is not a valid codepoint.
