VerbsData.Limit Field

Specifies an action that applies constraints to a resource. For example, the Limit-EventLog cmdlet sets the event log properties that limit the size of the event log and the age of its entries.

Namespace: System.Management.Automation
Assembly: System.Management.Automation (in System.Management.Automation.dll)
'Usage
Dim value As String

value = VerbsData.Limit

public const string Limit
public static final String Limit
public const var Limit : String

The following example shows how this field is used in the Cmdlet attribute:

[Cmdlet(VerbsData.Limit, "Database")]
public class LimitDatabaseCommand : Cmdlet

For consistency with other cmdlets that perform the same action, do not use a verb such as Quota for this action.

The verb portion of a cmdlet name specifies the action that is taken by the cmdlet and is specified by the Cmdlet attribute. For more information about the declaration syntax that is used to specify the Cmdlet attribute, see Cmdlet Attribute Declaration.

For more information about the guidelines for selecting verb names, see Cmdlet Verb Names.
