PublicThe entry is available to requests from outside the session state. This field is introduced in Windows PowerShell 2.0.

The entries of the session state define what is available to the module or runspace that defines the session state.

A session state entry that is public is similar to a public member of a type. Just as a public member of a type is available to those calling the type, a public session state entry can be used outside of the module or runspace that is using the session state. In contrast, a session state entry that is private is similar to a private member of a type. A private session state entry can be used only by the session state or internally by a public entry of the session state.
