ContainerCmdletProvider.GetChildItems Method

Gets the children of the item at the specified path.

Namespace: System.Management.Automation.Provider
Assembly: System.Management.Automation (in System.Management.Automation.dll)

Dim path As String
Dim recurse As Boolean

Me.GetChildItems(path, recurse)

protected virtual void GetChildItems (
	string path,
	bool recurse
protected void GetChildItems (
	String path,
	boolean recurse
protected function GetChildItems (
	path : String,
	recurse : boolean

The path (or name in a flat namespace) to the item from which to retrieve the children.

true if all children should be retrieved, false if only a single level of children should be retrieved.

This parameter should be true only for a NavigationCmdletProvider derived class.

It is necessary to override this method so that the semantics of a container are logical.

This method defines provider-specific functionality for the Get-ChildItem cmdlet. If this implementation of the cmdlet requires additional parameters, the provider must also call the GetChildItemsDynamicParameters method.
