Certificate.GetHashValue(String) | getHashValue(String) method

Gets the hash value for the certificate for a specified algorithm.

Syntax


var number = certificate.getHashValue(hashAlgorithmName);

Parameters

hashAlgorithmName

Type: String [JavaScript] | System.String [.NET] | Platform::String [C++]

The hash algorithm to use for the hash value of the certificate. Only values of "SHA1" or "SHA256" are supported.

Return value

Type: array of Number [JavaScript] | System.Byte[] [.NET] | Platform::Array<uint8> [C++]

The hash value of the certificate.

Remarks

To get the SHA2 hash value for the certificate, specify "SHA256" as the hashAlgorithmName.
