IVMRMixerControl::SetOutputRect method (strmif.h)

[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. The SetOutputRect method sets the position of this stream within the composition rectangle.

Syntax

HRESULT SetOutputRect(
  [in] DWORD                dwStreamID,
  [in] const NORMALIZEDRECT *pRect
);

Parameters

[in] dwStreamID

Specifies the input stream.

[in] pRect

Pointer to a NORMALIZEDRECT structure that specifies the position of the rectangle with composition space.

Return value

If the method succeeds, it returns S_OK. If it fails, it returns an error code.

Remarks

Because this rectangle exists in compositional space, there is no such thing as an "invalid" rectangle. For example, set left greater than right to mirror the video in the x direction. Specifying an empty rectangle turns off this stream.
