IAMVideoAcceleratorNotify interface (videoacc.h)

[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation instead of DirectShow, when possible. Microsoft suggests that existing code that uses the legacy APIs be rewritten to use the new APIs if possible.]

The IAMVideoAcceleratorNotify interface is a callback interface used in conjunction with the IAMVideoAccelerator interface. It enables the video renderer filter to communicate with the video decoder when configuring

  DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA) decoding.

Inheritance

The IAMVideoAcceleratorNotify interface inherits from the IUnknown interface. IAMVideoAcceleratorNotify also has these types of members:

Methods

The IAMVideoAcceleratorNotify interface has these methods.

IAMVideoAcceleratorNotify::GetCreateVideoAcceleratorData

The GetCreateVideoAcceleratorData method gets information needed to create a video accelerator object.
IAMVideoAcceleratorNotify::GetUncompSurfacesInfo

The GetUncompSurfacesInfo method queries the decoder for the number of uncompressed surfaces to allocate and the pixel format.
IAMVideoAcceleratorNotify::SetUncompSurfacesInfo

The SetUncompSurfacesInfo method notifies the decoder of how many uncompressed surfaces were created.
