IOCSPCAConfiguration::CAConfig property

The CAConfig property gets or sets a certification authority (CA) name with which a signing certificate must be signed.

The CAConfig property contains a CA name. This name lets an Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) signing-certificate renewal request specify the issuing CA. The new signing certificate must be signed with this CA.

This property supports responses to status requests for a certificate that has been replaced but is still valid.

This property is read/write.

Syntax

HRESULT put_CAConfig(
  [in]   const BSTR newVal
);

HRESULT get_CAConfig(
  [out]  BSTR *pVal
);

Property value

A string that contains the CA name to set.

Error codes

If the method succeeds, it returns S_OK.

If the method fails, it returns an HRESULT value that indicates the error. For a list of common error codes, see Common HRESULT Values.

If the method returns HRESULT_FROM_WIN32(ERROR_INVALID_STATE), either it failed to initialize a lock on the OCSPCAConfiguration object, or the object failed to initialize.

If the method returns HRESULT_FROM_WIN32(ERROR_OBJECT_NOT_FOUND), the CAConfig member of the OCSPCAConfiguration object failed to initialize.

If the method returns E_INVALIDARG, the pVal parameter was set to NULL.
