__ADAPStatus class

The AutoDiscovery/AutoPurge (ADAP) process is not available and not supported. It has been replaced by the WmiPerfClass provider which updates Win32_PerfRawData and Win32_PerfFormattedData classes in the WMI repository from the performance counter library. For more information, see Performance Libraries and WMI.

Windows Server 2003:  The singleton __ADAPStatus system class reports the current state of the Auto-Discovery/Auto-Purge (ADAP) process. The ADAP process transfers performance counter objects into Win32_PerfRawData and Win32_PerfFormattedData classes.

The following syntax is simplified from Managed Object Format (MOF) code and includes all inherited properties. Properties are listed in alphabetic order, not MOF order.

Syntax

[singleton]class __ADAPStatus : __SystemClass
{
  datetime LastStartTime;
  datetime LastStopTime;
  uint32   Status;
};

Remarks

The __ADAPStatus class is derived from __SystemClass, which has no properties.

You can use this class to see whether the ADAP process has run on the computer, the last time the ADAP ran, or if the ADAP process is currently running. This can help you determine the current state of the performance counters in WMI.

The single instance of __ADAPStatus resides in the root or default namespace.
