Rename method of the Win32_Group class

The Rename WMI class method allows the group name to be changed.

This topic uses Managed Object Format (MOF) syntax. For more information about using this method, see Calling a Method.

Syntax

  [in]  string Name
);

Parameters

Name [in]

Name of the Windows user account on the domain specified by the Domain property of this class.

Invalid parameter.

Group not found.

Domain not found.

Operation is allowed only on the primary domain controller.

Operation not allowed on special groups: user, admin, local, or guest.
