Provider::Provider method

[The Provider class is part of the WMI Provider Framework, which is no longer available for use as of Windows Vista. Instead, see Using WMI for the preferred ways to write a WMI COM provider or a WMI provider that uses the .NET Framework System.Management namespaces.]

The Provider method creates an instance of a provider. This method is part of the WMI Provider Framework.

Syntax


void Provider(
  LPCWSTR  a_pszName,
  LPCWSTR  a_pszNameSpace = NULL
);

Parameters

a_pszName

Name of the provider to be instantiated.

a_pszNameSpace = NULL
Namespace for provider classes. If NULL, the provider is instantiated in the default namespace.

Return value

This method does not return a value.

Remarks

The destructor for the Provider class is Provider::~Provider.
