IOCSPCAConfiguration::CACertificate property

The CACertificate property gets an X.509 certificate that has been encoded by using Distinguished Encoding Rules (DER) and that is for a certification authority (CA). The default implementations of IOCSPAdmin and IOCSPCAConfigurationCollection methods set this value.

This property is read-only.

Syntax

HRESULT get_CACertificate(
  [out]  VARIANT *pVal
);

Property value

A pointer to the retrieved certificate.

Error codes

If the method succeeds, it returns S_OK.

If the method fails, it returns an HRESULT value that indicates the error. For a list of common error codes, see Common HRESULT Values.

If the method returns HRESULT_FROM_WIN32(ERROR_INVALID_STATE), either it failed to initialize a lock on the OCSPCAConfiguration object, or the object failed to initialize.

If the method returns HRESULT_FROM_WIN32(ERROR_OBJECT_NOT_FOUND), the CACertificate member of the OCSPCAConfiguration object failed to initialize.

If the method returns E_INVALIDARG, the pVal parameter was set to NULL.

Remarks

The pVal certificate corresponds to the certificate used in the varCACert parameter of the CreateCAConfiguration method to create the configuration.
