VARIANT_UserUnmarshal Function

Unmarshals a VARIANT object from the RPC buffer.

  BYTE  *pBuffer, 
  VARIANT  *pVariant
);

Parameter

Description

pFlags

[in] Points to data used by RPC.

pBuffer

[in] Points to the current buffer. This pointer may or may not be aligned on entry.

pVariant

[out] Points to the VARIANT object that will be unmarshaled.

The return value obtained from the returned HRESULT is one of the following.

Return value

Meaning

S_OK

Success.

E_INVALIDARG

pVariant is invalid.

RPC_X_BAD_STUB_DATA

The stub data for the buffer size is incorrect.

DISP_E_BADVARTYPE

The input parameter is not a valid type of variant.

E_OUTOFMEMORY

Insufficient memory for this function to perform.
