GridResizeDirection Enumeration

Specifies whether a GridSplitter control redistributes space between rows or between columns.

 Member nameDescription
AutoSpace is redistributed based on the values of the HorizontalAlignment, VerticalAlignment, ActualWidth, and ActualHeight properties of the GridSplitter.  
  • If the HorizontalAlignment is not set to Stretch, space is redistributed between columns.

  • If the HorizontalAlignment is set to Stretch and the VerticalAlignment is not set to Stretch, space is redistributed between rows.

  • If the following conditions are true, space is redistributed between columns:

    • The HorizontalAlignment is set to Stretch.

    • The VerticalAlignment is set to Stretch.

    • The ActualWidth is less than or equal to the ActualHeight.

  • If the following conditions are true, space is redistributed between rows:

    • HorizontalAlignment is set to Stretch.

    • VerticalAlignment is set to Stretch.

    • ActualWidth is greater than the ActualHeight.

ColumnsSpace is redistributed between columns. 
RowsSpace is redistributed between rows. 

Use this enumeration to set the ResizeDirection property of the GridSplitter control.
