Encoding.IsReadOnly Property

When overridden in a derived class, gets a value indicating whether the current encoding is read-only.

Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

[ComVisibleAttribute(false)]
public bool IsReadOnly { get; }

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the current Encoding is read-only; otherwise, false. The default is true.

Supported in: 4.5.2, 4.5.1, 4.5, 4, 3.5, 3.0, 2.0

.NET Framework Client Profile

Supported in: 4, 3.5 SP1
