LiveConnectClient.BackgroundDownloadAsync(String, Uri, String) method

Begins downloading a file from Microsoft OneDrive to Windows Phone isolated storage. [Windows Phone only]

The file download should continue even if the app that starts the file download quits or is suspended.

Note  Windows Store apps do not support this event.

Syntax


public BackgroundDownloadAsync(
  string path, 
  Uri downloadLocation, 
  string userState
)

Parameters

path

Type: System.String

The file ID of the file to download from OneDrive, for example "file.22688711f5410e6c.22688711F5410E6C!942".

downloadLocation

Type: System.Uri

A unique isolated storage path to where the file is to be downloaded, for example "/shared/transfers/myFile1.txt".

userState

Type: System.String

A unique identifier for the downloaded file so that info about the file can be accessed in a call to the accompanying BackgroundDownloadCompleted event handler, for example "myFile1".
