gopher Protocol

Opens a gopher session with the specified site address.

Syntax

gopher://sDomain

sDomain Specifies the fully qualified domain name or IP address to the site.

Remarks

Note  The gopher protocol is turned off by default in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). The protocol has been removed from Microsoft Win32 Internet (WinInet) in Windows Internet Explorer 7 and later versions.
