Windows Store consumer markets

Apps listed in the Windows Store are directed at customers in markets around the world. The Windows Store identifies markets by countries and regions and will present market-specific catalogs to the countries and regions listed in this table. Local laws and restrictions might, however, prevent some apps from being listed in some markets.

The Windows Store will accept payment in the local currency of the countries or regions listed in bold.

When Windows 8 is available, you will be able to register for a Windows Store developer account and submit apps if you live or operate a business in a country or region listed in this table.

In the following table, the annual registration fee is the cost to register for your Windows Store developer account for a year. Prices are subject to change.

The payout describes how we'll pay you the money you earn in the Windows Store. If your country supports payment to a bank or PayPal, you can choose the account into which we'll deposit the money you earn.

Note For the Windows 8 Release Preview, only developers who have received a registration code from Microsoft and live in one of the countries or regions listed here can register for a Windows Store developer account: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Columbia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Korea, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, and United Kingdom.
